The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton slips a jab and a cross from Larson.
Larson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Larson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Acton throws a leg kick but Larson sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Larson looks to land a combination but Acton avoids it well.

Horrible takedown by Acton or perhaps it was just good defense by Larson which made him look bad.
Larson throws a series of punches but Acton avoids them all with ease.

and Acton counters with a nice body kick.
Acton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Larson swivels and escapes.

Larson throws a solid leg kick but Acton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Larson.

and Acton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Acton shoots in looking for a takedown. Larson tries to sprawl out of it but Acton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Larson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Acton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Acton there as he acknowledges the shot.
Larson tries for a takedown but Acton circles away easily
and Acton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Larson looks gassed!
Acton tries to clinch up but Larson circles away and keeps his distance.
Acton pushes Larson up against the cage in a clinch.
Acton is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Larson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Larson lands an uppercut.
Larson digs a right hand underneath Acton's ribcage. Acton let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Larson is trying to break free.
Larson has clasped his hands together around Acton's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Acton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Larson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Larson works to advance to full mount. Acton defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Acton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Larson on the ground.

Larson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Acton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Larson is looking for a sweep. Acton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Larson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Acton is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Larson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Acton's back instead.

Acton is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Larson wants to control but Acton is keeping busy.
