Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Puma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puma has chosen Eyes Of Truth as his entrance music. Johnny Puma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puma closes the distance and clinches.
A short right from Puma.

Puma breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Puma looks to land a right hand but Morris moved out of range.
Morris avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A slapping leg kick lands for Puma.
A nice combination there by Puma.

Puma waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Morris. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Morris to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Morris is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Puma tries to free his leg and advance position but Morris is retaining full guard.
Oh Morris is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morris keeping moving, preventing Puma from controlling successfully.
Morris seems to have got his legs back now.
Puma postures up in Morris's guard and throws a big left but Morris blocks it.

Puma got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Puma has managed to get both his arms back between Morris's legs - danger averted.
Morris is breathing heavily.
Puma is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Morris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Puma postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Morris keeping moving, preventing Puma from controlling successfully.
Puma pushes down on Morris's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Puma lands strikes from half guard.
Puma trying to control the pace.
Let's hope that Puma has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Johnny Puma.
Puma just misses with a punch to the body.
Puma lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Puma.
Puma drops Morris with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Morris! Puma dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Puma!
