Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Queriza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and erickson posadas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queriza misses with the combination.

posadas moves into the clinch.
Queriza misses with a knee to the head.
Queriza tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. posadas smiles and moves away.
Queriza misses with a jab, cross combination.
posadas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Queriza sprawls well. Queriza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. posadas gets slowly back to his feet.

posadas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are battling for position here. Queriza manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

posadas prevents a takedown attempt there.
Queriza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Queriza has posadas pressed against the cage, preventing posadas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Queriza looks up at the clock and then as posadas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Queriza smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
posadas is looking for a sweep.
posadas is working to avoid the ground and pound but Queriza connects with a decent elbow.

Queriza decides to stand up, so the ref orders posadas to his feet.

Queriza feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Paul Queriza overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
posadas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
posadas trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Queriza tries to lock up and control but posadas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Queriza can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Queriza regains half guard.
posadas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Queriza wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Queriza closes the distance and clinches up with posadas, looking for a takedown. Queriza pushes posadas against the cage but posadas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

posadas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
posadas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
