PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Abodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Kisiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kisiel has chosen Frank Stallone - Peace in Our Life as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcin Kisiel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Abodo.
Kisiel throws a series of punches but Abodo moves out of range.
A low kick from Kisiel misses

and Abodo counters with a big uppercut that knocks Kisiel off his feet! Abodo dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Marcin Kisiel has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Abodo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Abodo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kisiel wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Kisiel taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ground and pound from Abodo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Kisiel takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Abodo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kisiel keeps working.
Abodo fails to land a wild elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abodo looks up at the clock and then as Kisiel takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Abodo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Abodo cracks Kisiel with a big right hand but Kisiel just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Kisiel is rocked!

That has opened up Marcin Kisiel's cut even more.
Kisiel looks gassed!
Abodo lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Kisiel! Abodo senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Kisiel out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hugo Abodo!
