Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sho Stoppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Medranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sho Stoppa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Carlos Medranda!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stoppa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

It looks like Sho Stoppa has been cut.
Medranda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Medranda moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Carlos Medranda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Medranda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Stoppa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stoppa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stoppa wants to control the pace but Medranda is squirming around nicely.

Stoppa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Medranda doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stoppa.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Medranda is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Stoppa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Stoppa dives in and grabs Medranda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Medranda pushes down on Stoppa's head and hops out.
Medranda looks to land a combination. Stoppa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Stoppa is working for a guillotine from mount but Medranda frees his head quite easily.

Stoppa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stoppa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Medranda tries to avoid it but Stoppa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Medranda to the ground. Medranda escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well,Stoppa is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes?
Medranda feints and then cracks Stoppa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stoppa down.
Medranda throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stoppa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Horrible takedown by Stoppa or perhaps it was just good defense by Medranda which made him look bad.

Medranda is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stoppa's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stoppa's back!

I've got Medranda winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
