The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutkin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ribeiro slips a jab from Sutkin.
Sutkin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Sutkin really wants to buck Ribeiro off and get back to his feet.

Ribeiro is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sutkin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sutkin shrugs it off.

Ribeiro has hold of Sutkin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sutkin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ribeiro swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sutkin is now in Ribeiro's guard. A big mistake from Ribeiro there, giving up the dominant position!
Sutkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribeiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ribeiro tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Ribeiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sutkin, who protects the arm well.

Ribeiro thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Ribeiro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sutkin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ribeiro.
Sutkin lands a jab to the head.

Sutkin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ribeiro has hold of Sutkin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sutkin seems comfortable defending it but Ribeiro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sutkin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sutkin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ribeiro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
