Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Narushima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mauricio Rua has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mauricio Rua seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narushima slips a straight right by Rua.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rua checks a leg kick.
Narushima throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rua scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Ryo Narushima has been cut.
Rua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rua moves out of range of the leg kick from Narushima.
Rua looks to throw the jab but Narushima is out of range.
Mauricio Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Narushima lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rua's sensitive parts.

Rua slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Narushima sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Rua swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rua tests Narushima's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Narushima ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rua is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Rua lands a jab to the nose.
Narushima throws a head kick but Rua moves out of range.
Rua just misses with a punch to the body.
Rua misses the shot to the body.

Ryo Narushima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rua throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Narushima connects with a solid leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rua. Narushima does a little dance to reset his feet.
Narushima throws a front kick that sends Rua stumbling back into the cage.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Look low, kick high! Narushima uses the oldest trick in the book to send Rua tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Narushima is absolutely delighted - when Rua wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
