Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Funky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Ogden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ogden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pantera - Drag The Waters. David Ogden will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ogden moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ogden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Funky.
Funky shoots for a takedown but Ogden saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Funky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ogden circles away.
Funky tries to close the distance and clinch but Ogden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Funky.

Funky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ogden drops back, looking for a kneebar! Funky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Funky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Funky!
Funky wants to control for a moment but Ogden uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ogden is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Funky has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ogden tries to pass the half guard into mount. Funky knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ogden is looking for a kimura but Funky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ogden to get the leverage.
