Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJ St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Lewis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but St Pierre moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lewis drops St Pierre with a left and a right! Oh, St Pierre is hurt - Lewis dives into side control looking to finish!


It looks like BJ St Pierre has been cut.
St Pierre is breathing heavily.
Lewis lands some shots froms side control.

Lewis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lewis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lewis is trying to get an arm triangle but St Pierre is defending well.

Lewis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Pierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
St Pierre wants to clinch up but Lewis keeps it at a distance.

and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lewis won't be happy with that.

St Pierre swings around for an armbar but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into St Pierre's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Daniel Lewis dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

St Pierre waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lewis.
St Pierre has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from St Pierre there as he acknowledges the shot.
St Pierre cracks Lewis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lewis throws a nice looking combination but St Pierre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
St Pierre walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

St Pierre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Lewis wants to hold on but St Pierre pushes him away.
Lewis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
St Pierre has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lewis's face.
St Pierre lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

BJ St Pierre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

St Pierre has gone for a leg lock! Lewis slips out almost immediately though and dives into St Pierre's guard.
