PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sami Salama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kurt Jamison was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Salama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Jamison!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salama scores with a leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Salama.
Salama keeps Jamison at a distance using the push kick.
Jamison moves in looking to clinch but Salama pushes him off.
Jamison fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Salama avoids it really well and circles away.
Salama leaves Jamison with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jamison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salama tries to avoid it but Jamison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salama to the ground. Salama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sami Salama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Jamison.
Jamison shoots for a double leg takedown but Salama sprawls well. He's pushed Jamison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Salama lands a head kick. Jamison smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Kurt Jamison has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jamison shoots in and drives through. Salama sprawls well.
Jamison looks gassed!
Salama throws a head kick but Jamison moves out of range.
Salama ducks under a wild hook from Jamison.
Kurt Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salama scores with a leg kick.
Salama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jamison shoots in but no luck this time.
Salama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jamison looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Salama! Jamison is out on his feet! Salama rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Jamison is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Jamison is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
