Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Caraway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Willy Pete enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Caraway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Pete!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete throws the left hand but Caraway avoids the punch easily.
Pete defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Caraway.
Caraway tries to bum rush Pete with a series of wild strikes but Pete uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pete stuffs the takedown attempt from Caraway. Caraway gets slowly back to his feet.
Pete throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pete misses with a wild body shot.
Caraway misses with the combination.
Pete misses with a wild body shot.

Caraway fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pete, pushing him back against the cage.

Caraway breaks from the clinch.
Pete cracks a nice hook into Caraway's ribs.
Caraway blocks a jab.

Caraway clinches with his opponent.
Pete tries to break free but Caraway pushes him back against the cage.
Pete is trying to break the clinch but Caraway is controlling him.

Caraway breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pete thuds his right hand into Caraway's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pete throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Caraway moves into the clinch.
Caraway is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pete gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Caraway has Pete pressed against the cage, preventing Pete from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Caraway slows down the pace here.

Pete is fighting off a takedown attempt but Caraway is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pete to the mat. Pete regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Caraway drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caraway jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Caraway clinches up against the cage.
Caraway prevents Pete from breaking the clinch.

Caraway pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pete throws a jab but it's blocked by Caraway.
Caraway wants to clinch.

Caraway has closed the distance and engaged Pete in a clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Caraway drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Caraway is breathing heavily.
Caraway keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pete's efforts to push away.
Pete misses with a punch to the body.
Pete wants to break free but Caraway has control.
Pete has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Caraway avoids the body shot from Pete.
Pete stalks Caraway and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Caraway's face. Caraway staggers backwards, shaken.

and Caraway counters with a left to the body.
Caraway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Caraway counters with a takedown into side control.

Caraway tries for a kimura but Pete is defending well.
Caraway sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pete is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Caraway thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Caraway goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pete rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Caraway's guard! Nice work there by Pete!

Caraway manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pete manages to get himself to full guard.
Caraway wants to control from the top but Pete keeps moving.
Pete is looking to stand up but Caraway isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caraway won't allow Pete to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pete scores with a jab to the body.
Caraway walks into a straight right hand from Pete.
Caraway tries for a takedown but Pete sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pete just misses with a punch to the body.
Pete tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Caraway was well out of range. Poor timing from Pete.
A punch lands to the side of Caraway 's head but he takes it in his stride.

enabling Pete to counter with a crisp jab.

Pete swings for the body but Caraway moves out of range.

Pete throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Caraway fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Caraway jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That was a close second round but I would say that James Caraway will probably get the nod.

No joy there for Pete, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Caraway throws a chopping leg kick but Pete manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Caraway walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Caraway takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Pete throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Caraway stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pete lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
