Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between chuck Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Burns has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, chuck Monster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Burns!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monster gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Burns lands a shoulder strike.
Burns holding his opponent close, against the ropes.
Burns is trying to maintain a safe position but Monster gets an underhook and turns Burns into the ropes.
Monster is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Burns trying to land knees to the body.
Monster fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Monster drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for chuck Monster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns missing with knees to the body.
Burns lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like chuck Monster has been cut.
The referee calls for Burns to work.

Monster has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Burns uses from the top position.
Burns wants to get up but he can't break Monster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Burns stopping the sweep attempt from Monster.
Monster wants to get back to his feet but Burns is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Burns really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Monster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burns wants to get up but he can't break Monster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Monster will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Burns wants to stand and escape but instead Monster has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Monster stops Burns from standing up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Burns.
Burns wants to clinch but Monster slips to the side

and Monster counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Burns is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monster is controlling him.
Monster trying to control the position from guard on top but Burns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Monster is really struggling to control Burns but he's trying to hold on to the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Monster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burns's head.
Monster with a flurry of punches that miss.
Monster working some strikes from top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Monster is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Burns is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Burns has escaped and now he's on top!

Burns wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Monster's closed guard. He's half up but Monster has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Monster pivots and extends the arm, Burns falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Monster! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). chuck Monster!
