The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
General has a takedown stuffed.
General shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hitsugaya as he jumps to the side.
General shoots in for a double leg but Hitsugaya sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy General. That's going to take a lot out of him.

General shoots for a takedown but Hitsugaya saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Hitsugaya manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
General is breathing heavily.
Hitsugaya is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

General drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hitsugaya manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now General has Hitsugaya in his guard.
Hitsugaya content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hitsugaya wants to get up but he can't break General's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

General looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
General has momentary wrist control but Hitsugaya slips an elbow through the middle.
General on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if General tries to get out of the position.
Hitsugaya with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

General looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hitsugaya passes into side control.
General tries to get back to half guard but can't.
General is not content to let Hitsugaya control the position.
General tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hitsugaya presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hitsugaya wants to control the pace but General is squirming around nicely.

Hitsugaya looking to isolate an arm here. General doesn't see it coming and as Hitsugaya extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Hitsugaya!
