And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Akita cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones wants to hold on but Akita pushes him away.

Akita jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ren Akita overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
