Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caidal Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Caidal Cain enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Caidal Cain!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to throw the jab but Cain is out of range.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cain off to one side.
Cain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cain.
Smith misses with a hook. Cain ducked under it nicely.
Cain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cain tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cain to the ground. Cain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Smith throws a body punch but Cain moves out of range.
Cain bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smith takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Smith is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Cain's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Smith is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cain keeps working.

Smith works to advance to full mount. Cain defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Cain is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Smith has taken his back.
Cain controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Cain defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Smith's arms.
Cain breaks Smith's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Cain sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Cain shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cain won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Cain tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Smith passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cain!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smith jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cain is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cain and Smith has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
