Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stephen White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Krueger!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krueger throws a series of punches but White moves out of range.
Krueger avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Krueger lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Stephen White has been cut.
Krueger blocks a head kick by White.

White drives through with a takedown into guard.
Krueger is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
White has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Krueger is proving hard to escape from.

John Krueger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

White drives through and clinches with Krueger against the cage.

Krueger manages to break the clinch.

White is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Krueger is just riding it out for now. White eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White prevents Krueger from getting back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Krueger controls White momentarily but White frees himself.
Krueger wants to stand but White is controlling the position.

White closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
White creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Krueger breaks from the clinch.
A combination from Krueger does no damage.
Krueger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and White counters with a nice double leg into guard.
White won't allow Krueger to get back to his feet.
White wants to control from the top but Krueger keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Krueger tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
White tries to clinch but Krueger is having none of it.

White shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Krueger is trying to defend but White finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Krueger is breathing heavily.

White postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Krueger to stand up.
Krueger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by White.

so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
White looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

White seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Krueger for as long as he can get away with.

White gets to his feet - Krueger follows without any prompting.

White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

White takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

White controlling the position easily from mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
White looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
White content just to control the position here.
Krueger is looking to improve his position but White isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Krueger looks to land a combination but White avoids it well.
White fails with a takedown attempt.
Krueger goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
White thows a body shot but no joy.
White throws a sloppy head kick and Krueger moves out of range easily.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Krueger tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Krueger to the ground. Krueger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krueger fakes the leg kick and cracks White in the body.
A combination from Krueger does no damage.

White closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Krueger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Krueger is trying to control but can't.
Krueger pushes White off looking to stand but White dives back in and keeps control.

Krueger is defending against the submission attempts here by White.
Well, if White is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Krueger is trying to stand.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
White tries to pass to full mount but Krueger defends it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Krueger throws a right and a left that White avoids nicely.

White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
White is putting a hurting on Krueger here, landing some big shots from side control.
White controls the position from side control.
White gets to mount! Krueger was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
White landing strikes from the mount and Krueger is in trouble!
White postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Krueger looks a forlorn figure.
Krueger tries to improve his position but instead White has taken his back!

White has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Krueger has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Krueger wants to escape the position.
White scores with punches from the back.
White is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Krueger is trapped and White is scoring with shots to the head and body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Stephen White showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for White, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
