The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Leepart paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sanders misses with a hook.
Leepart takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Owen Leepart has been cut.
Left hook, right uppercut from Sanders.
Sanders shoots for a takedown but Leepart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sanders misses with a takedown attempt - Leepart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sanders misses with an uppercut.
Sanders uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leepart.
Leepart misses with a body kick.
Leepart blocks a jab.
Sanders shoots in for a double leg but Leepart sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jones Sanders. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leepart tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sanders connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Leepart wants to clinch.

Sanders got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leepart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sanders has managed to get both his arms back between Leepart's legs - danger averted.

Leepart is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sanders throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Leepart's body to avoid the submission. Leepart has instead reached around Sanders's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Leepart arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
