The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Beest throws a nice head kick!

Van Beest seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sharpe for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


A left and a right from Sharpe both land. Nice combination.
Van Beest connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Sharpe tumbling to the canvas! Van Beest pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Sharpe was done - good stoppage!
