Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Rising (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rivero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Rivero. No joy for Rising on that attempt.
Rivero scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Maximus Rising has been cut.
John Rivero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rivero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rising circles away quickly and effectively.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rising shoots for a double leg takedown but Rivero sprawls well. He's pushed Rising's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rising has hold of Rivero's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rivero manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rising fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Rivero's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Rising is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rivero is forced to tap! Great finish!
