Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eoin Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Ralphinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eoin Duff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xander Ralphinski!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duff closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ralphinski wants to control but Duff postures up.
Duff looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ralphinski is avoiding damage well.
Duff lands a decent elbow from side control.
Duff takes a little break here. Ralphinski wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Duff seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ralphinski for as long as he can get away with.
Duff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ralphinski on the ground.

Duff working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Duff tries to stand and escape but Ralphinski is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ralphinski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Duff controlling the pace.
Duff tries to pass to full mount but Ralphinski defends it.

Ralphinski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Duff gets to his feet - Ralphinski follows without any prompting.

Ralphinski goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ralphinski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Duff takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Xander Ralphinski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ralphinski connects with a high kick.
Ralphinski scoring well with a low kick there.
Duff takes a kick to the side of the head.

Duff shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Duff lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Duff is trying to control the action in half guard but Ralphinski is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ralphinski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duff is working away from the top position though.
Duff perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ralphinski is looking to improve his position.
Ralphinski manages to get to full guard.
Duff looking to sit in guard and control but Ralphinski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ralphinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duff swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Duff pushes Ralphinski off and gets back to his feet.
Ralphinski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ralphinski keeps the fight on the outside.
Ralphinski cracks Duff with an open hand slap.
Duff on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A left lands for Ralphinski.
Duff fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ralphinski throws a head kick that half lands.
Eoin Duff is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A head kick from Ralphinski lands but Duff takes it in his stride.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Duff.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ralphinski regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Duff winds up and cracks Ralphinski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Duff takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ralphinski connects with a high kick.
Ralphinski lands with a kick to the temple. Duff shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Duff takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Duff wants to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Ralphinski. No joy for Duff on that attempt.
Ralphinski lands a nice looking body kick.
Ralphinski avoids a punch combination nicely.

Duff is looking to pass Ralphinski's guard but actually Ralphinski recovers to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Eoin Duff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Duff trying to control the position from guard on top but Ralphinski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Duff is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ralphinski has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Duff is looking to defend but Ralphinski has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Duff! Ralphinski pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Duff taps out and this one is all over!
