Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Kernes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mors Olle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kernes comes to the cage accompanied by Reign Supreme - Persevere And Overcome. Olle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by enter sandman. Jay Kernes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mors Olle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Kernes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mors Olle!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olle shoots for a double leg takedown but Kernes sprawls well. He's pushed Olle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Olle or perhaps it was just good defense by Kernes which made him look bad.
Kernes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Olle moves away.
Kernes misses with a jab, cross combination.
Olle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kernes as he jumps to the side.
Jay Kernes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mors Olle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kernes looks to land a combination but Olle avoids it well.

Kernes leaves Olle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kernes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Olle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kernes.
Olle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Olle misses with a two punch combination.
Kernes swats away the attempt to clinch by Olle.

Olle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kernes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Olle somewhat.
Kernes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Olle.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Olle.
Kernes wants to clinch up but Olle keeps it at a distance.

Kernes fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Kernes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Olle's knee momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Olle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Olle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Olle stops Kernes from getting back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Olle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kernes keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kernes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Kernes closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kernes is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Kernes lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Mors Olle has been cut.
Good body shot from Kernes.
Olle tries to break the clinch but Kernes is controlling the position.
Kernes lands a nice elbow.
Olle wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kernes has him pressed against the cage.
Kernes connects with a knee to the head.


That has opened up Mors Olle's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kernes lands an elbow just above Olle 's eye.

Olle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kernes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kernes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Olle counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kernes!
Kernes tries to buck Olle off but he can't manage it.
Olle is breathing heavily.
Kernes regains half guard.
Kernes is trying to stand back up but Olle is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kernes manages to get to full guard.
Olle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kernes is keeping the position for now.
Olle wants to control from the top but Kernes keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nice sprawl there from Kernes as Olle shoots in.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Olle fails with the takedown.

Kernes wants to stand and escape but Olle is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Olle shoots for a double leg takedown but Kernes sprawls well. He's pushed Olle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kernes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kernes slaps away a takedown attempt from Olle, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kernes lands a left hand that snaps the head of Olle backwards.
Olle takes an elbow to the forehead.
Kernes scores with a hook to the body.
Olle takes a knee to the side of the body.

Mors Olle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kernes lands a good knee to the midsection. Olle won't want to take too many of those.

Olle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kernes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Olle is trying to drag Kernes to the mat but Kernes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kernes keeps control of Olle as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kernes lands an elbow that stopped Olle in his tracks for a moment.


The cut above Mors Olle's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Mors Olle's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Olle can't get the takedown.
Olle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kernes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Kernes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Olle has his takedown stuffed
and Kernes counters with a three punch combo that has Olle backing up. Olle nods at Kernes to acknowledge the strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jay Kernes showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kernes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
