Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mitch Layden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pery defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Layden.
pery closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
pery looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
pery trying to control from Layden's half guard. Layden has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Layden has a closed guard, preventing pery from standing up.
pery is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
pery drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Layden dives on top into guard.

Layden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Layden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are battling for position here. pery manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Layden missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Layden postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Layden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed pery's guard.
pery keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Layden wants to control but pery is keeping him busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Layden gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and pery counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Layden has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. pery doesn't defend quickly enough and Layden has managed to lock this one up! Can pery escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Layden on a fantastic submission victory.
