The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sphinx rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Novikov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sphinx looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Novikov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Taylor Sphinx has been cut.
Novikov slaps away a takedown attempt from Sphinx, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Whack! Novikov lands a heavy head kick that drops Sphinx. The ref tackles Novikov to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Sphinx was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Evgeni Novikov!
