Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Tribbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bat Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Tribbett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bat Man!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tribbett darts in and clinches Man up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Tribbett's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Man manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Man changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tribbett fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tribbett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Man to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tribbett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well.
Man wants to control from the top but Tribbett keeps moving.
Man won't allow Tribbett to get back to his feet.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Man's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Tribbett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Tribbett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Man is aware though and is defending well.
Man content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Man has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Man chips away with some ground and pound.
Man throws a big right hand that misses.

Tribbett escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Man pushes down on Tribbett's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Man trying to mount his opponent but Tribbett defends it.
Tribbett wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.
Man seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tribbett actively working from the bottom here.
Tribbett is breathing heavily.
Man is looking to take a break and control but Tribbett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tribbett wants to get back to his feet.

Man working the head and body with strikes.
Ground and pound from Man.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Man wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tribbett keeps working.
Man lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Man takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Tribbett looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Man is working for a kimura but Tribbett is defending it quite comfortably.
Man scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Tribbett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Man not doing much here.

Tribbett wants to get back to his feet.
Man tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tribbett knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tribbett is trying to control but Man passes into side control!
Man is staying tight to Tribbett's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Tribbett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Man wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tribbett, who protects the arm well.
Tribbett tries to buck Man off but Man is having none of it.
Man connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tribbett some visible discomfort.
Man trying to control the action but Tribbett is working from the bottom.
Man working away.
Tribbett is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Man asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Tribbett is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bat Man dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Man changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tribbett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tribbett can't do much from the bottom here.
Tribbett is trying to get back to his feet.
Tribbett takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Man scoring with punches and elbows.
Tribbett is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Man scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Tribbett gets full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tribbett looking for a guillotine here but Man defends easily.

Tribbett has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.

Man lands a couple of digs.
Man is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Man got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tribbett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Man has managed to get both his arms back between Tribbett's legs - danger averted.

Tribbett has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.
Man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Tribbett manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Man shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tribbett pinned against the cage. Tribbett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Man fails with the takedown.
Man looks for a takedown but Tribbett sprawls well.
Charlie Tribbett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bat Man.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tribbett but Tribbett pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tribbett swats away the attempt to clinch by Man.

Tribbett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Man is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tribbett off and has taken his back!
Bat Man has got the better of the ground game so far.
Man is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Tribbett up.
Man doesn't have the hooks in and Tribbett manages to turn into his guard.

Man had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tribbett defends it easily.
Tribbett has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tribbett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tribbett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Man wants to stand but Tribbett is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tribbett has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Man is proving hard to escape from.
Man has control of Tribbett's left arm, preventing Tribbett from doing any damage.

Tribbett trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.

Man is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tribbett defends well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tribbett shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tribbett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tribbett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tribbett content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tribbett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tribbett tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Man has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tribbett can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tribbett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tribbett has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Charlie Tribbett will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Man doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Tribbett holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Tribbett pulls guard effortlessly.
Man works over Tribbett with some ground and pound from guard.
Tribbett wants to sweep here but Man controlling him for the moment.

Tribbett working for a triangle but Man defends it easily.
Tribbett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Man controls the pace.
Tribbett keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.

Tribbett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Man trying to control but Tribbett is working from the bottom.

Man gets to his feet - Tribbett follows without any prompting.
Man on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Man scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Man trying to control the action but Tribbett is working from the bottom.

Man is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tribbett has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tribbett is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.

Tribbett wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Man lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Check out the look on Man's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Tribbett is looking to regain half guard here but Man keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Tribbett counters with a shoot takedown. Man fights it but they end up in guard.

Man is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Man wants to stand and escape but Tribbett is having none of it.
Tribbett won't allow Man to sweep him here.
Man keeping moving, preventing Tribbett from controlling successfully.
Tribbett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Tribbett would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Tribbett counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Charlie Tribbett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bat Man.

Tribbett is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tribbett wants to pass the guard but Man is keeping the position.
Tribbett tries to stand but Man is controlling from the bottom.

Tribbett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Man looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Man isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tribbett stacks Man on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tribbett!
Man is trying to control Tribbett's posture but Tribbett avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tribbett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tribbett has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

And that's the end of the fight!
Charlie Tribbett showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Tribbett has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
