Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sherm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rizzo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Sherm shoots in for a takedown but Rizzo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sherm looks for a takedown but Rizzo sprawls well.
Sherm takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rizzo lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Frank Sherm has been cut.
Sherm shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rizzo as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Sherm. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rizzo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sherm backs up against the cage.
Sherm takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rizzo lands a nice hook to Sherm's body. Sherm takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Frank Sherm's cut is getting worse.
Rizzo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sherm momentarily.
Rizzo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Frank Sherm's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Rizzo! Sherm is backing up but he can't get away as Rizzo lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Sherm and ends the fight. Great knockout.
