Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Neil Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veneda S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins comes into the arena with Everyday Normal Guy blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Neil Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veneda S!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rollins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but S avoids it really well and circles away.
S throws a head kick that misses.
S throws a right and a left that Rollins avoids nicely.
S fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rollins fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rollins shoots in for a double leg but S sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A telegraphed right hand from S misses the target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rollins.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rollins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. S manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

S looking for a guillotine here but Rollins defends easily.

S seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
S is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

S manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rollins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but S is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
S tries to bench press Rollins off him but Rollins keeps the position.
S wants to control but Rollins postures up.
S is looking for a sweep.

Still in half guard, Rollins seems content to control.
S keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Rollins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but S does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rollins prevents S from improving his position.
S tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Rollins has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

A close round but Veneda S will probably get the nod.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
S connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rollins momentarily.

and S counters with a three punch combo that has Rollins backing up. Rollins nods at S to acknowledge the strikes.

S takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

and S counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rollins thinking.
Rollins tries a head kick but it misses.
S stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rollins looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
S throws a leg kick but Rollins checks it.

and Rollins counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

and Rollins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

S shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Veneda S showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

S looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
S can't keep his opponent in guard - Rollins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rollins stands up and beckons S to join him on the feet.

S takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

S looking for subs from the bottom but Rollins mounts him!

Neil Rollins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rollins is looking to control S but S is wriggling around and keeping busy.
I really don't envy S right now.

Rollins is trying to stick to S's back but S is turning into Rollins. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rollins's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by S.

S missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rollins is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Rollins is looking to stand back up but S counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rollins.

S thows a huge punch but Rollins dodges it nicely.

Neil Rollins showed his dominance in that final round.
I think S has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
