Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romulo Barral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Romulo Barral!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlton throws a big shot that misses.

Carlton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barral looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Barral escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carlton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carlton sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Carlton wants to improve his position but Barral is controlling well.

Carlton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barral is working away from the top position though.

Romulo Barral showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Barral tries to close the distance and clinch but Carlton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barral blocks a jab.
Barral lands a really nice looking cross but Carlton seems unphased.

Carlton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barral walks away with a smile on his face. Carlton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
