The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo stuffs the takedown attempt from Yazerman. Yazerman gets slowly back to his feet.
Azevedo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Yazerman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Azevedo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Yazerman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A big right from Azevedo misses.
Azevedo tries to bum rush Yazerman with a series of wild strikes but Yazerman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Charles Azevedo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yazerman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Azevedo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yazerman somewhat.
