The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

sorin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
sorin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
sorin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sandler stands up from sorin's guard - Sandler perhaps looking for a knockout.

Sandler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming sorin to the mat! sorin manages to get full guard.

Sandler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sandler missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Sandler drops back looking for a leg! sorin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and sorin manages to kick Sandler off! Sandler jumps back into sorin's guard.
Sandler thows a big elbow that misses.

Sandler lands a couple of elbows.
Sandler is pushing down on sorin's leg trying to pass to half guard. sorin is fighting to maintain full guard but Sandler has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sandler has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can sorin defend it? Sandler steps over the head and cranks it - sorin is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sandler!
