PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Bob Bailey has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bob Bailey seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Grundy!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bailey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Grundy's half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Bailey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grundy's guard now.
Grundy is looking to stand up but Bailey isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bailey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
