Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rod Wallis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pointek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallis comes into the arena with h blaring out of the sound system. Pointek is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sevendust - Enemy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pointek throws a head kick but Wallis moves out of range.
Pointek avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pointek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wallis is fending him off so far but Pointek persists. Nope, Wallis circles away and we're back to standing.
Pointek takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pointek shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A punch lands to the side of Wallis 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wallis blocks a head kick by Pointek.
Pointek feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wallis's calf.
Wallis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wallis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
