PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Wu-Tang Clan - The Mystery Of Chessboxin as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Abbott is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Abbott.
Abbott tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.
Gracie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abbott as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Abbott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Abbott tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.

and Abbott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gracie's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Abbott can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.
