Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tzvika Furman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Faraway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faraway shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Faraway was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Furman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

The referee warns Furman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Furman has his foot on Faraway's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Faraway works his way back into a safe position though.

Faraway shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Furman as he jumps to the side.

Faraway shoots for a double leg takedown but Furman sprawls well. He's pushed Faraway's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tzvika Furman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Faraway.

Furman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Faraway looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Furman is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Faraway has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Furman is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Faraway gets his way!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Faraway has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
