The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriquez keeps the fight on the outside.
bitch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodriquez avoids it really well and circles away.
bitch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
bitch shoots in but no luck this time.
Cleto Rodriquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of punk bitch.
bitch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rodriquez defends it nicely.

Rodriquez throws a leg kick which misses bitch's front leg but catches the back leg as bitch tries to avoid it.
bitch tries to clinch up but Rodriquez circles away and keeps his distance.

bitch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rodriquez but Rodriquez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

bitch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rodriquez tries to avoid it but bitch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rodriquez to the ground. Rodriquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if bitch can do anything to dispel that myth.
bitch wants to control but Rodriquez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rodriquez connects with a nice short shot to bitch's temple.

Rodriquez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so bitch is just riding it out for now. Rodriquez eventually gives up the hold.

Rodriquez thows a huge punch but bitch dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriquez works his way into side control.
You can see the frustration on bitch's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rodriquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rodriquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rodriquez is looking to take a break and control but bitch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
