Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Da Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giant comes to the ring accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Da Giant has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Da Giant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Willis!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant shoots in for a double leg but Willis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Giant fails to land the takedown.
Giant tries for a takedown but Willis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Da Giant. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Willis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Giant manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Willis thows a big elbow that misses.
Willis wants to control from the top but Giant keeps moving.
Willis is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Willis drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Giant dives on top into guard.

Giant avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Willis looking to control.
Giant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Willis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Giant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Giant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Giant trying to control the position from guard on top but Willis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Giant wants to pass the guard but Willis is keeping the position.
Willis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Giant is looking to work some ground and pound but Willis has wrist control.

Giant drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giant jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Willis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Willis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Giant is stalling in the full guard.
Giant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Willis on the ground.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Giant is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Giant is breathing heavily.

Willis looking for submissions off his back.
Giant wants to take a breather but Willis is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Willis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Willis has Giant pulled in close to control his posture.

Willis working for a triangle but Giant defends it easily.

Willis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Giant postures up.
Giant with a flurry of punches that miss.

Willis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Giant gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Giant stands and throws Willis's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Giant wants to take a breather but Willis manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Giant.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Giant trying to control but Willis is working from the bottom.
Willis is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Willis is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Giant rolls with it to try and escape but Willis cranks on the arm and Giant is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
