Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Quixote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoju Bayushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quixote's entrance music is Pantera - Domination. A fine choice. Bayushi has chosen Masta Killa as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Shoju Bayushi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Don Quixote!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoju Bayushi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quixote moves out of range of the body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Quixote. No joy for Bayushi on that attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quixote looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bayushi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Don Quixote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bayushi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Quixote stacks Bayushi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Quixote!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bayushi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quixote pulls his head out easily.
Quixote wants to take a breather but Bayushi is having none of it.

Bayushi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quixote gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Quixote drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bayushi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bayushi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bayushi!

Quixote is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bayushi off and has taken his back!

Bayushi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quixote can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Quixote will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Don Quixote overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bayushi is squirming around, avoiding Quixote's attempts to control the action.

Quixote is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bayushi defends it well.
Bayushi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Quixote is working away from the top position though.

Bayushi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Quixote's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Quixote's back!

Bayushi is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Quixote is defending well though. Bayushi let's go of the attempt for now.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bayushi is trying to stick to Quixote's back but Quixote is turning into Bayushi. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bayushi's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Quixote.

Bayushi has his foot on Quixote's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quixote works his way back into a safe position though.

Shoju Bayushi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Quixote has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
