PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brumbazz Hulendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nukem comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Head Crusher by Megadeth kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nukem rushes Hulendez and presses him up against the cage.

Hulendez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nukem regains guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nukem is on top in guard.
Nukem wants to control from the top but Hulendez keeps moving.

Hulendez is pulling down on Nukem's head. It's preventing any offense from Nukem, at least for the moment.
Nukem works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Nukem stops Hulendez from getting back to his feet.
Nukem is trying to control. Hulendez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hulendez is concentrating on defense, preventing Nukem from advancing position.
Nukem wants to control but Hulendez is keeping him busy.

Hulendez wants to sweep here but Nukem controlling him for the moment.
Nukem won't allow Hulendez to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hulendez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nukem attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hulendez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nukem drops Hulendez with a big knee straight up the middle! Hulendez is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Brumbazz Hulendez has been cut.
Hulendez is breathing heavily.
Nukem throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hulendez.
Hulendez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hulendez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nukem circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brumbazz Hulendez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nukem tries to clinch there but Hulendez circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hulendez checks a leg kick.

Nukem drives through and clinches with Hulendez against the cage.
Hulendez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Hulendez wants a takedown.
Hulendez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nukem is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nukem working the clinch nicely. Hulendez is working for position but Nukem cracks him with a big knee to the head! Hulendez crumples up against the cage and Nukem lands two more shots before the ref can save Hulendez! This one is all over!
