Bird drops back looking for a leg! Wathan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wathan manages to kick Bird off! Bird jumps back into Wathan's guard.

Wathan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bird is aware though and is defending well.

Bird got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wathan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bird has managed to get both his arms back between Wathan's legs - danger averted.

Wathan is looking to control Bird's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wathan avoid being mounted?

Bird is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wathan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bird looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wathan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bird drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bird seems to have locked his on tight now - Wathan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bird, as he picks up the win!
