The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aquilani slips under a jab from Nicolaou.
Nicolaou throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Aquilani on the side of the head.
Nicolaou slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Aquilani shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nicolaou sprawls well. Nicolaou wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aquilani gets slowly back to his feet.
Aquilani misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nicolaou misses with a few strikes there.
Aquilani uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nicolaou.
Aquilani shoots in looking for a takedown. Nicolaou tries to sprawl out of it but Aquilani keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Nicolaou manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alberto Aquilani. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nicolaou connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Aquilani momentarily.
Aquilani fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nicolaou drops Aquilani with a beautiful combination! Aquilani stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nicolaou is looking for the KO!

Nicolaou connects with a nice cross there... Aquilani is looking wobbly and Nicolaou recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Aquilani to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Nicolaou jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
