The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Santos looks to score with a jab to the body but Vos is just out of range.
De Santos throws a lazy right hand but Vos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
De Santos throws a jab when Vos was well out of range.
Vos slips a jab from De Santos.
Vos throws a looping overhand right but De Santos ducks down to avoid it.
Vos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. De Santos defends it nicely.
Vos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vos fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Santos.
Vos misses with an uppercut.
A big left from De Santos misses.
Vos tries a head kick but it misses.

De Santos gets caught flat footed, as Vos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
De Santos is pulling down on Vos's head. It's preventing any offense from Vos, at least for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vos looks up at the clock and then as De Santos takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vos smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vos is putting a hurting on De Santos here, landing some big shots from side control.
Vos looking to punish the body of his opponent here but De Santos is avoiding damage well.

De Santos is trying to control Vos's posture but Vos avoids it.
De Santos is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Vos's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Vos thows a huge punch but De Santos dodges it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vos drops an elbow to the side of De Santos's head.
De Santos tries to roll over but Vos keeps him under control.

De Santos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vos is working away from the top position though.
De Santos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vos's back!

De Santos is persistently looking for the submission but Vos is defending it well.

De Santos is cranking Vos's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Vos! He's tightened the choke and Vos is tapping out!
