The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Summer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Payne.
Summer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Payne swivels and escapes.
Payne throws a lazy right hand but Summer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Payne is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Payne shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Summer throws a right hand that Payne ducks under and follows up with a left that Payne also avoids with ease.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
