The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laidlaw goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Laidlaw has closed the distance and engaged Portokalov in a clinch.
Laidlaw fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Laidlaw is rocked!
Portokalov darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Laidlaw's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Portokalov before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
