The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jax stuffs the takedown.
Grove misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Grove shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jax throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Grove's head.
Grove throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jax's waist but Jax gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grove off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Da Spyder Grove. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grove goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Grove throws a shot to the body.

Grove shoots in for a double leg but Jax sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jax misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jax feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grove's calf.
Grove loads up on a big right hand but Jax slips the punch.
Nice sprawl there from Jax as Grove shoots in.
Grove is breathing heavily.
Grove misses with the combination.
Jax looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Grove crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jax - the referee stops the clock and Grove gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jax. Grove manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jax throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jax moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jax feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grove's calf.
Grove scores with a three punch combo!

Jax darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jax stalling away here and it's allowed Grove to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Grove looking for a triangle here. Jax is fighting it but it looks tight! Grove pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Jax is tapping out - this one is all over!
