The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freilla throws a nice inside leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lashley is defended easily by Freilla.
No joy there for Freilla, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Freilla tries to clinch up.
Lashley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Freilla.
Lashley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lashley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

I looks like Lashley might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Lashley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Despite being in the dominant position, Bobby Lashley just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Lashley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Freilla's guard.

Freilla using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lashley has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Lashley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Freilla walks away with a smile on his face. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lashley shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Freilla manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Freilla is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lashley is controlling him.

Freilla stuffs the takedown attempt from Lashley. Lashley gets slowly back to his feet.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Freilla, right into the meat.
Freilla tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lashley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Freilla cracks Lashley with an open hand slap.

Lashley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Freilla lands with a cross.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Freilla.

Lashley is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Freilla frees his head nicely. Oh but Lashley has switched to an armbar! Freilla is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
