Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, jon fitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
fitch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. fitch gets slowly back to his feet.
fitch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
fitch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

fitch shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
fitch moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
fitch thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
fitch tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva throws a combination. fitch tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like jon fitch has been cut.
jon fitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
fitch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
fitch is breathing heavily.
Silva lands with a good body shot.
Silva drops fitch with a nice combination! Silva dives into fitch's guard, looking to finish!
Silva is working fitch over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
fitch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if fitch tries to get out of the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nice combo by Silva! Oh, that's hurt him - fitch falls to the canvas and Silva follows him into side control.

fitch takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Silva in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and fitch looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Silva turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
