Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between shean sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Rodriguez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez tries to clinch up but sherk circles away and keeps his distance.
sherk looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A looping hook to the body misses from sherk. Rodriguez does a little dance to reset his feet.
sherk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Rodriguez or perhaps it was just good defense by sherk which made him look bad.

shean sherk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Rodriguez.

Rodriguez is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. sherk has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Rodriguez has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! sherk taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Rodriguez doesn't care though - he's delighted!
