Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rock Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn Perry will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Roll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Perry!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Perry looks for a takedown but Roll sprawls well.
Roll throws a right and a left that Perry avoids nicely.

Rock Roll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Perry.
Perry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Roll is fending him off so far but Perry persists. Nope, Roll circles away and we're back to standing.

Perry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Roll gets caught flat footed, as Perry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roll swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Roll's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Let's hope that Perry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Roll wants to control but Perry is keeping busy.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rock Roll.
I think Perry has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
