Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperIII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby TupperIII will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby TupperIII!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Gracie's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

TupperIII is trying to escape the mount but Gracie keeps good control and instead manages to take TupperIII's back.

The referee stands the fighters back up. John Gracie just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
TupperIII will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gracie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in TupperIII's guard.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Gracie seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down TupperIII for as long as he can get away with.
John Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie won't let TupperIII get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
TupperIII is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount.
