The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Orton or perhaps it was just good defense by Alco which made him look bad.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Orton.
Alco closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Orton did well to prevent Alco getting side control.
Orton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Orton is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Alco jumps into side control!
Orton takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Orton is breathing heavily.
Alco decides to stand back up.
Orton fails with the takedown
and Alco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Orton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Alco.
Alco has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Orton is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Alco yanks on the arm and Orton is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Alco.
