The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hans tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Hans.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hans swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gracie lands a nice shot to the body.
Hans throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hans. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hans misses with a two punch combination.
Gracie lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Hans.

Hans swings wildly with an uppercut but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hans looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hans misses with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Hans fails to land.
Gracie jumps guard but Hans stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gracie throws a hook but Hans blocks it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hans throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hans is looking to clinch.

Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Hans's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gracie has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hans to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gracie is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hans pulls down on the head and he's put Gracie to sleep! This one is all over!
